Our version of the "Japanese blossom and branch" motif is paramount in this example. Each edible 24Kt gold branch is three dimensionally hand sculpted to naturally climb up the cake's contemporary silhouette. The fondant itself is embossed with bamboo sheets and then hand painted with the traditional sumi-e style brushwork. The hand sculpted Japanese crane crowning the top tier as well at its delicate feathers floating over the cake's dramatic composition complete this vividly idealistic design.
